Cheddar Highlights Resolve Solutions’ Passion for Empowering Minority Students for Black History Month

Sean Lanier joins Cheddar to share how Resolve Solutions is making a difference in providing support to underrepresented students. Minority students have a significantly more difficult time preparing for college and finding the path that best suits them. RSI strives to help these students by matching them with colleges and programs through ROTC while also presenting them with mentorship opportunities to equip them with the guidance that they need to succeed. With the hurdles that come with college preparation, Resolve Solutions is here to make a difference and help the students that need it most.

Founder and Executive Director, Sean Lanier, discusses the difference that RSI is making throughout the country. As of 2020, RSI has helped more than 500 students, including Baltimore native Fatoumata Diallo, a sophomore at the Virginia Military Institute. Fatoumata recently earned an ROTC Scholarship through her hard work and opportunities with RSI.

LeAndrew Jefferson was in the process of deciding his next steps in his educational journey when he became a part of the Resolve Solutions program. RSI gave him an opportunity to grow and find connections that lead him to his ultimate goal. He’s now an international studies major at the Virginia Military Institute.

With Veterans Day commemorated this week, WeWork named the second cohort of companies for its Veterans in Residence program in D.C. The coworking company teamed once again with Bunker Labs, a nonprofit dedicated to helping new veteran entrepreneurs start their own businesses.
